It's Official: A Permanent Pokémon Store Is Coming to London!
Pokémon fans across the UK have something huge to look forward to! The Pokémon Company International has officially announced plans to open a permanent physical Pokémon store in London, with the new destination currently scheduled to open by 2029.
Announced on 21 October 2026, the store promises exclusive Pokémon merchandise and unique experiences for Trainers of all ages.
Here at Clifford TCG, we're always keeping an eye on the biggest developments in the Pokémon world, and this is exciting news for collectors and fans across Britain.
When Will the London Pokémon Store Open?
The Pokémon Company has confirmed that the permanent London store is scheduled to open by 2029.
An exact opening date has not yet been announced, and neither has the store's address or specific location within London.
We'll be keeping an eye on further announcements as the plans develop.
What Will the New Pokémon Store Sell?
According to the official announcement, visitors can look forward to:
- Exclusive Pokémon merchandise.
- Unique experiences designed for Pokémon fans.
- A permanent destination for Trainers of all ages.
- A place for the Pokémon community to come together.
Specific product ranges have not yet been revealed. That means it's too early to confirm whether the London store will stock Pokémon TCG booster boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, individual booster packs or exclusive trading card products.
However, the prospect of a dedicated Pokémon destination in London is already an exciting development for UK fans.
Why Is This Such Big News for UK Pokémon Fans?
UK collectors have enjoyed temporary Pokémon retail experiences and pop-up shops in the past, but a permanent location would give fans a dedicated destination to visit beyond limited-time events.
Rather than relying solely on special events, fans could have a lasting place to explore Pokémon merchandise and enjoy experiences connected to the franchise.
The new London destination is also part of a wider international expansion, with The Pokémon Company confirming that several permanent Pokémon stores are planned outside Asia.
Will It Be Called Pokémon Center London?
Although fans may be familiar with the Pokémon Center name, the official announcement describes the London destination as a permanent physical Pokémon store.
The final store name has not yet been confirmed, so any suggestion that it will officially be called Pokémon Center London remains speculation for now.
What Does This Mean for Pokémon TCG Collectors?
For Pokémon Trading Card Game collectors, a new permanent Pokémon destination could bring even more attention to the hobby across the UK.
It's important to remember that the announcement does not yet confirm any specific Pokémon TCG products or exclusive card releases.
Whether you're collecting vintage Pokémon cards, chasing modern sets, building a sealed collection or searching for graded favourites, there are already plenty of ways to enjoy the hobby while we wait for further news.
At Clifford TCG, you can explore our range of Pokémon cards and sealed products online.
Could More Permanent Pokémon Stores Open Outside Asia?
Yes! The Pokémon Company has confirmed that London is intended to be the first of several new permanent Pokémon retail destinations outside Asia.
However, no additional locations or opening dates were identified in the announcement.
For now, all eyes are on London.
